WHO WE ARE

Melissa Reishus

Melissa's vision for The Sea Glass Group was inspired first and foremost by a family member who acquired mobility impairment as the result of a chronic illness which struck early in his professional career.  As a volunteer at one of the nations leading physical rehabilitation institutes, she was further inspired by the many established professionals and college students she has met as patients.

Prior to founding The Sea Glass Group, Melissa had a lengthy and successful career at IBM that spanned positions in marketing, consulting services and channels development.  As a Business Development Manager  she was responsible for identifying, recruiting, and developing premier Business Partners in global markets for both IBM's services and software organizations. This extensive experience contributes to her ability and insight to identify and recruit top talent for corporate and professional placement.

Through her personal experiences she has found that professionals who live with a disability, intuitively have stronger problem solving skills and come to their field better prepared for the toughest of challenges.   It is her strong desire that through The Sea Glass Group, these individuals can and will compete among the strongest of candidates for leadership positions in corporate America.

Melissa holds a B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University.

Barbara Davidson

Impacted by the recruiting challenges experienced by a close friend who acquired a disability shortly after completing his MBA, Barbara shares the passion and vision as a partner in The Sea Glass Group.

She brings a wealth of sales experience that effectively crosses over to the professional search industry.  During her 12 year career of selling residential real estate for Howard Hanna Co., Barbara was a consistent top producer and the recipient of numerous national sales awards.  Over that time, she developed extensive negotiating skills and established a vast network of personal and professional relationships both of which are valuable in professional search.

Prior to her real estate career, Barbara worked in the information technology industry holding corporate marketing and training positions, as well as in Mellon Bank’s cash management division, where she developed products for Fortune 500 corporate clients.

Barbara strongly believes in community service.  She was an officer in the Mt. Lebanon School District PTA Organization and served on the board of directors of Outreach Teen and Family Services.  She was also active in the Junior League of Pittsburgh, volunteered at the Catholic Charities Free Health Care Center and is a hospice volunteer.

Barbara holds a B.A. in English from The Ohio State University.
